Located in Northern Okinawa, Motobu (本部町) is made up several smaller villages now incorporated into the town and a few islands the most well known being Minna-jima Island with its beautiful beaches that can be reached by a 15 minute ferry ride and Sesoko Island easily reached by bridge. 

Motobu is most well know for Ocean Expo Park home to Churaumi Aquarium that contains many marine life exhibitions the most famous being the live captive whale sharks.
