Very strong typhoon No.9 Muifa was about 100 km south of Naha, capital of Okinawa at9am on August 5th. It was moving west slowly, with winds of up to 216 kph, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Super Typhoon Songda is approaching to Japan. Songda was upgraded to Super Typhoon status which is category 5 at 3a.m. According to the Expected path of Songda, it could hit Fukushima as well.

The Kokeshi Roller Dolls are bringing roller derby sports entertainment to the Okinawa community with their first bout Saturday, May 14. Roller Derby has been revived internationally by women who have returned the sport to its original athletic roots.
